Mount it on the surface, or recess it. The Carsoli LED Medicine Cabinet by Altair has mirrored doors, mirrored inside and out. Inside there are three adjustable glass 0.3" thick shelves. Outside, the LED lighting is totally customizable both for color temperature and brightness. Color temperature can be switched from 3,000k to 4,000k, to 6,000k and the dimmer can be set at anywhere from 100% to 10%. Finally, there's an integral heated pad for defogging - so you never need to wipe the steam from your mirror.
