The larger the mirror diameter, the less distortion in the reflected image - and that may just make the difference if your enjoyment. The mirror is lighted by long-lasting LEDs with a color temperature of 5,000 degrees Kelvin- which is very close to "blue sky" daylight. Magnification power is 5x - not reversible. The On/Off switch is on the mounting plate, so there's no need to wire-in an extra switch. It folds back reasonably flat, yet extends up sto 16" on it's double-swivel arm.
